Little Niagara Falls Upper by Mardonic Little Niagara Falls Upper by Mardonic
It has nothing to do with "Niagara Falls" in NY and Canada. It's outside the town of Niagara in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.

Well, the falls in NY and Ontario are called the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls, unless your from there or around there, it's easy to get confused. :3 <3

This falls is so pretty aswell! It's quite majestic, the way it kind of stairs down at all different levels. Very pretty.

Thanks. It was a nice little area just to get away for a while. The last time I was here it was summer and bright sunshine, the pictures turned out like crap.

Seems people are getting a new avatar lately... nice.

My only regret with this shot is not photoshopping out the red on the left of the archway. When I got the prints in, that was the first thing everyone noticed.

Thanks again for all the comments and the :+fav:'s.

Great shot, this is favorite of all the ones you've recently submitted.

I really gotta get out more, I've been lazy and haven't really shot anything recently.

Is it because of the archway? That seems to be the common concensus. I can always pick apart my own works, but I'll take any compliments I can get.

Thanks for the comment.. and shouldn't you be chasing down some more bald eagles?

No, not really because of the archway, I just like the whole thing in general.

I'm always chasing bald eagles, and mtn vistas, and old barns, etc, etc, etc.......

The terraces of water, the snow framing it, the tunnel - it's just perfect!

A lot of people like the tunnel... lmao.. at first, I was trying to shoot it without it, but couldn't get the right crop. Now if I could just find more like this...

What a beautiful spot! Nice capture of the arch above, have you visited this place in the warmer months? Love the angle of the shot, very professionally set up.

This is the second time I've been here. The first time was when I didn't know about the "direct sunlight kills waterfalls" rule. There are so many hot spots on the face of the falls, it's kind of embarassing. But that's what happens when you look back on the early pictures and compare.

Makes life more interesting, besides there are some pretty strange words out there that are real, who can really tell if you're making them up if you sound sincere.

Ok, now I know that is not a word. I actually had to use my dictionary last night because someone used the word Venerable.. I need one of those "Word a Day" calendars or something like that to increase my vocabulary.. just as long as you're not writing it... :D

Thanks for the :+fav:.

I get a Word a Day in my e-mail. English as a language is always changing wouldn't it be fun to invent a new word?

It's a nice little set of falls that creep under the roadway that not too many people know about (unless you live on the road and have to drive around cars like mine in the middle of the road). Very peaceful place.

Thanks for the comments.
